The ironworker's fence

There's an old saying that goes, "The cobbler's children have no shoes." There's a variant that states, "The ironworker's fence is made of wood."

In either case, sometimes we are so busy doing work for others that we forget to do stuff for ourselves. Either the last thing we want to do at the end of the day is sit down and hack yet another website, or make dinner, or do for fun what we do professionally.

So this is an experiment of sorts. Can I take a thing and make it work? Or will I get distracted by a shiny object. Time will tell, but I think I'd like to work on this fence for a while.
